Popliteal artery injury secondary to anterior knee dislocation: A case report and literature review.
Abstract We present a case of vascular trauma of the right popliteal artery in a 32-year-old patient, initially evaluated by the department of traumatology and orthopedics, evidencing anterior knee dislocation, we are interviewed for high suspicion of vascular injury. At the time of obtaining the angiographic images, there is evidence of the absence of contrast medium of the third portion of the popliteal and distal trunks confirming the vascular lesion. A femoro-popliteal bypass was performed with contralateral autologous inverted saphenous graft with anatomical tunneling, obtaining pulses and adequate distal perfusion in the limb. Key Words: Knee dislocation; popliteal artery; vascular grafting.Autor de Correspondencia:
